Out of the frying pan and into the fire

Harin Jeon (b. 1998, Seoul, South Korea) is a London-based artist working with oil painting, installation, and drawing. Her practice draws inspiration from the people and landscapes she encounters in everyday life. Her works often center around human or animal figures which interact with their surrounding space and environment, capturing the emotional resonance of these encounters. Through layering of personal narratives and subtle gestures, she explores how internal responses to the external world manifest in form, space, and feeling. She earned her BA in Surface Design from Sungkyunkwan University and completed her MA in Painting at the Royal College of Art.
